Hi. I have an issue that developed today where all print jobs from every source error out in the queue instantly. I have spent the majority of the day doing everything from uninstalling and reinstalling the HP software and printer to following the convoluted virtual assistant diagnostic routine with no success. I tried printing with another account on my pc with the same results. The print doctor simply says "You have a problem with the software this tool cannot fix. Please Uninstall the software and reinstall from HP." Or something to that effect. I am wondering if i am looking at a new printer.

Can you print using the USB port?

I am not sure as I have never used it and I don't currently have a cord for it. However, I have just discovered that other PCs on the network can print. This means my problem is local and I may have to do a system restore.

Have you checked the Windows system files using the sfc /scannow command?

Yes, that I have done. It found no issues with system files.

I did not realize that was a thing, but after several hours I have tracked the problem to either Norton Security or ExpressVPN client. ExpressVPN interferes with the print spooler in some way causing me to have to restart the service when I boot up. Whatever the cause I had to do a Windows restore to fix it. I now have access to the printer again.
