Officejet Pro 8030 doesn't print cyan

Officejet Pro 8030. product number 4KJ65A
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I recently replaced the ink cartridges in my Officejet Pro 8030,  and everything was fine until I tried to print in color.  Yellow and magenta work fine, but there is no cyan showing at all.  The display showed no error messages.

Following the advice given to another community member with a similar problem, I tried the following:

  1. performed the print head cleaning twice,
  2. cleaned the vent on the cartridge 
  3. performed a hard reset

Nothing has fixed the problem.   Is there anything else I can do?  The printer is still under warranty.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand the printer is not printing in cyan. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Do you have the same issue while copying a document in color or on the print quality page?

 

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue. Make sure you have tried cleaning the printhead for 3 cycles.

You may refer to this document to know the steps to resolve this issue.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region for service options as this could be a hardware issue.
