Officejet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Purchased an Officejet Pro 8720 for our small office.  It set up no problem, we can scan to network folder and scan to email, photocopy etc.  When you select say an email to print it will print the first item then wont print ANYTHING more.  You can see the items in the print que and ive used the Scan and Print Doctor which at first did sort out the problems and it constantly said the issue was Software Update had been needed and Print Que issue, now even the Scan and Print Doctor wont work.  If I cannot print off a few documents then I'm afraid this printer is not fit for purpose!! Help needed please!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you check if there are any updates to Win 10 OS?

Try this self help steps:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02205477

If that doesn't work, can you try using a TCP/IP port?

Create a TCP IP port

1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the Front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)
2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right click the printer and left click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.

This video resource will show you how to do it:

Create & Use TCP IP port

Note that you can ALWAYS revert back to the original port that the HP software installed by selecting the HP port under the Ports tab (in Printer Properties)

Hope that helps!

I have actuall just installed using a TCP IP Port as a last resort as I have been trying to print stuff all week and its seriously held me up working.  Its maybe cheaper than a laser but at least I could print!  Its working okay so far but I am not holding my breath! Thanks.
