Hi @georos

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printhead error.

Let's try these steps to reset the printer -

1) Take out the cartridges.
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Update the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue still persists, try this document.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks for your help. It seems to work I was able to print a couple of documents after doing what you suggested but previously I reset the printer and it would print a document but then the error message showed up again. So I'll have to wait and see if this is a permanent fix. Thanks again

My printer worked for a couple of print jobs and has now gone back to the error message "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed. Oxc19a0023.

Any further thoughts on this?

Thanks Georos

Asmita, I have come across the same error in the past few days and I have tried all the steps listed on the website. I also searched for the new printhead for my printer and it said I couldn't order it. Is there anything else I can do? It was working perfectly fine before.

Thanks in advance,

I tried everything as well. I found no solution. The printhead was available but the cost of it was not justified as I could purchase a new printer for the same price. That is what I did, purchase a new printer.
