Officejet Pro 8620
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Our Officejet Pro 8620 will not print any dark shades of Blue.  All cartridges filled and cleaned.  Darkest color is a medium Blue at best.    Is this a bug or a feature?  If a bug, how do we resolve?

Hi @BWGOhio

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Try making a standalone copy in blue color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

For now, let us try these steps:

Check the estimated ink levels, and then replace any low or empty cartridges

Check the print settings on the PC, you may choose the print quality to be 'Best'. Refer to this document to know how.

Use an automated tool to clean the printhead

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to scroll to Setup, and then touch the Setup icon (). The Setup menu displays.

  2. Swipe the display to scroll to Tools, and then touch Tools.

  3. Touch Clean Printhead.

  4. If the issue persists, touch Yes to start the second cleaning stage.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
