Brought my printer yesterday, unable to use or complete set up due to ‘output tray closed’ error even though the door is open! Some please help as I need a working printer ASAP

Can you make a simple copy? Is attention blinking red?

The printer won’t allow me to action anything, I get the resume icon and the colour ink icon flashing together, and the HP app gives me the error message for the output tray being closed.

The colour ink cartridge is giving you the trouble, the HP app detects a wrong error. Try removing the colour ink cartridge, the printer should work with black cartridge only, then the resume icon should be off, and colour ink icon on.

Return it, it's new, you should be printing not troubleshooting.
