PRINT HEAD MISSING

Officejet Pro 8600 N911n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

 New HP ink installed, reset the print head several times, cycled power as instructed, updated firmware and still have the message," INK SYSTEM FAILURE". The printer is out of warranty and I'm about to replace the print head. Before I spend the money, could there be other issues that would warrant replacing the printer. I really like this printer and am willing to invest the money on a new print head instead of replacing the printer if I know for sure, this will resolve the issue.

Note the missing information regarding the print head below

PRINT HEAD MISSING

@MTJ1982

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

If you insert your old ink, do you still get the error message?  It could be printhead or a printer issue.

Try the steps from here:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8600-e-all-in-one-printer-series-n911/4322914/...

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
