Hi so it's been over a year since I've bought this printer and I've only used it a few times, max 10 times, 1-3 pages each time, over the span of a little over half a year ( I didn't open it as soon as I got the printer, I waited a few months before opening it). A few months ago I tried using it and it said it was low on ink even tho I didn't use it enough for it to run out. The printer has colour too and I didn't print anything that used colour... I tried to use it again today and it still doesn't work. Do I really have to replace the ink?

@kayla___, Welcome to HP Support Community!

When you are not using the printer for a quite long time, we would recommend you to remove the inks and store them separately to avoid any clogging or cartridges getting dried up. Refer to the document  “Storing Opened Cartridges and Printheads”  for help.

To resolve the low ink issue, replace the inks and that should fix it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
