After installing new ink cartridges the printer displayed a paper jam error. We have completed all possible steps to clear the message. We have watched help videos and followed the steps for clearing the message. Also, there is no paper stuck in the tray. However, I am unable to clean page smears because the paper jam continues to pop up after hitting ok. I am unable to clear it and move past it. Can you please advise how I can clear it to clean the page smears? Of course our warranty only expired 3 weeks ago and we just spent $45 on ink.

If you have already performed the steps from the document  Paper Jam Error and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
