Recently my printer jammed. I cleared the jam but now it will only print about a half page and then stops with that page still in the printer. I have tried to reset it. I also tried to do an ink cleaning but that did the same. It also does the same when I try to copy.

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer and post a paper jam, the printer prints about half a page and then stops to print with the page still in the printer. You have reset the printer and also performed and ink cleaning and the issue persists while copying too. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did you once again check if any paper is still stuck inside the printer?
  • Does the carriage inside the printer move freely when the printer stops to print? You may have to move the carriage with your hand.

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Also, please perform the steps as described in detail under "Solution two: Clean the paper rollers behind the cartridge access area" from this link

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. Good luck! 🙂
