Photosmart Plus B210a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Photosmart Plus B210a series won´t recognize HP cartridges after factory reset.
The following error mesage is displayed on screen: "Please use the SETUP cartridges that came with your printer"

Printer won´t let me proceed to any other configuration until this issue is solved.

Welcome to HP support community.

 

Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Open the door to access the ink cartridges.

  3. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.

  4. Push the tab on an ink cartridge, and then pull the ink cartridge from its slot.

       CAUTION: 

    Do not leave the ink cartridges outside the printer longer than 30 minutes. Doing so can result in damage to both the printer and the ink cartridges.

  5. Reinsert the ink cartridge into its color-coded slot, and then press down on it until it snaps into place.

  6. Repeat these steps to remove and reinsert the remaining ink cartridges.

  7. Close the ink cartridge access door.
