I am getting an error message "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed."
I took out each print cartridge, cleaned the contact and I still get this message.
The printer printed a Test Print page just fine.
I still get this message.
What i sthe printhead? Is it just the cartiages or the whole mechanism? If the whole mechanism, is that easy to replace or do I need to buy a whole new printer.....

The printhead is the part in the printer that holds the ink cartridges and printhead in this printer is not a replaceable part.
If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Printhead and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
