Print head work but does not print out on paper

Hi @KOOLKEVIN35

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

As the printer/ink cartridges were not used for a long time, the inks could have dried up. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Use an automated tool to clean the printhead

If the printhead is badly clogged, you might need to clean the printhead several times to restore normal print quality.

  1. Load letter, A4, or legal size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. Press the Setup button ().

  3. Press the Down Arrow button () to highlight Tools, and then press OK.

  4. Press the Down Arrow button () to highlight Clean Printhead, and then press OK. The printer cleans the printhead, and a test page prints once the printer is done cleaning the printhead.

Also, perform step 9 from this document.

Now, Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Report

  1. On the product control panel, press the Setup button () until Print Report displays, and then press OK.

  2. Press the Right Arrow button () to select Print Quality Report, and then press OK. The report prints.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
