Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a new HP 6968 printer a couple weeks ago, have been unable to use it because I don't have  a printer alignment sheet.  There does not seem to be a way to bypass this step,  I carefully searched through everything for the printer alignment sheet. but nothing was included in with the printer.

Hello Cozam,

None of these are for the 6968, but much of it applies.  The links repeat themselves, but each may have a different solution.  Any success, please reply with any step that corrects it (or not).  If not successful, there's other steps.

I am not an HP employee.

Many of the links do a Hard Reset of the printer. so try that now, thus:

  1. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
  2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  7. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button () to turn it on.
    Does it work now?

You should be able to print a calibration test page from the printer.Maybe if you do a  nozzle clean it will reprint the page. The other option will be to re install the printer as from new and the get the calibration page.Hope this will help.

Thank you so much, I was able to figure out a solution with this assistance.

I was so frustrated with the email I received from customer support telling me I needed to call a phone number and pay for support, because this issue was not something that could be handled on community forum.  That is beyond frustrating to buy a new printer and be expected to pay again for support.  There should be at least a couple weeks of free support available.  I agree am not as tech savvy as many, being in the serior citizen category I don't always grasp this information as well as people who have grew up with computers.

I do appreciate your help.   I will chock this up to lesson learned - don't buy HP again.
