Am trying to change my Printer’s email address to no avail-managed to get it to connect to web services now but then once I’ve printed off the web services info and enter printer claim code(as it seems my printer was not listed under ‘my printers’ previously), I get error message that it’s an incorrect printer claim code, even after I check it three times! So then I printed a new web services info sheet to try from scratch again-and it’s a DIFFERENT code on the second print out!! So how do I find my correct printer claim code please?!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

What are you trying to setup?

Let's remove web services and add it again: 1. On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, touch (HP ePrint), and then touch (Web Services Settings). 2. Touch Remove Web Services.

1. On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Web Services . 3. Touch Yes to accept the Web Services terms of setup. 4. The printer will automatically check updates and set up Web Services. 5. Touch OK when you see Web Services have been set up successfully. 6. When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page, and shows Web Services Summary on the screen.

Hi Betty, thank you for your response. What I’m trying to do is change my printer’s email address, which the instructions for tells me I need to enter my printer claim code to do(as it wasn’t already coming up under ‘my printers’ even though I could’ve sworn I did that part back when I first set it up).  I tried to follow your suggestions however there IS no ‘remove web services’ option on my touch screen choices, I tried reading what was at your linked article too, and that was very similar, with none of the things listed being the same as what is actually available to choose on my printer...

Let's restore the network settings: 1. From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch ( Settings ). 2. Touch Restore Network Settings, and then follow the onscreen instructions. 3. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset

Once done, try changing the email address.

Thanks so much for trying and for your response-I followed the steps you detailed and unfortunately even with the new printer code printed after resetting network settngs, I still had the same trouble 😞 and it’s just more confusing when the hp guide virtual agent thing about it tells you that if it’s in the format of groups of 4 then that code won’t expire however it will be a new code each time you print it out-so what on earth is that supposed to lead me to do?!

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Please do check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
