I am running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.1 on my new computer (iMac, Late 2015) and my printer does not print. It shows the document going to the queue and it shows it disappearing from the queue but nothing prints.
Click on the Apple menu, then on System preferences.
Click on Printers and Scanners, then click on the Plus () sign at the bottom of the left flap. The Add window opens.
In the Add window, select your printer under Name.
In the Use field, scroll down the list to select Select software..., then in the search box type J4500, then select HP OfficeJet J4500 Series and click on OK.
Click on Add and try printing.
