My printer has just started skipping lines when printing.  From what I can tell it is every third line that is being skipped.  When I use the scan and copy option the document looks fine.  HELP!

Hi @poohdy_1_99

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

If the issue does not occur on copies but only while printing from your MAC, this could be a software issue.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Try printing a Printer Status Report and check if the issue persists

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon .

  2. Touch Printer Status Report.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Note: If the issue occurs while printing all types of documents, installing the printer using AirPrint driver may help.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
