Printer not printing in color

Hello,

I own an HP Deskjet 3050 and it is not printing in color at all. I have a few new cartridges I am trying. It won't print in color for the alignment paper, when I am using the printer as a copier, or when I try to print from my computer (Windows).

Black ink works fine. I checked the settings and Grayscale is off.

Can you help me so I can print in color again?

If you touch the color cartridge print nozzle to a damp paper towel do you see any ink?

That's good, have you tried cleaning the cartridge contacts in the printer.

I took the wet paper towel and cleaned what I could in the cartridge holders, but still no color ink.

Does it print if you leave out the color cartridge.

Yes. I just tried to print a color copy and it printed it in black without a color cartridge installed.

Best guess is that you have bad color cartridges.

I am trying 4 different cartridges and the computer program says they all have ink in them. If you think it would help, I can go out and buy a new one to try.

You mentioned trying to print a copy in color & got no ink output so I would not spend money on another cartridge.

All the ink cartridges HP ones?

Can you try printing a copy using only a color cartridge?
