My husband put in new ink cartridges last night. It wouldn't stop aligning.  Now it won't stop canceling.

@wendybirdd Greetings from the HP Community!

Are you getting any error messages? or is it just attempting to align the printer as soon as you turn it on and continue to do the same?

Please elaborate.

 

Meanwhile, the below steps should help resolve such issues related to alignments,

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

    NOTE: 

    HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

  5. Turn the printer on.
