Can anyone help me please? I have spent the last 2 hours following all instructions to get my printer back online.

What I don't understand is why am I allowed to print a test page when I check the printer is connected to the web, but when I try to print the paperwork I need from another web page, it keeps saying printer offline?

Usually when I restart the printer,(everytime I want to use it) it works, but today it is not having any of it. Please help stop me jumping up and down on this thing? I am very close to launching it in the bin and buying a Canon.

  • Did this happen after a windows or software update? Do you remember?

We need to isolate the issue between the computer and the printer patiently.

Please make a few copies directly from the printer to eliminate hardware issues.

Hey, this was the ticket. Finally! After almost a whole day trying everything I could find, none of which worked. I had been bothered that my printer was depicted twice under devices and printers; one image was marked as Fax, while the other was greyed out. When I selected or right-clicked the greyed out image, two labels appeared, one of which was marked as the network, the other was not. Anyway, I had wondered if this multiple images and records was part of the problem. This procedure apparently cleared it all up. Thanks.
