Printer or ink problems

HP Officejet Pro 6835
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My printer has been printing fine and then I had a paper jam. I removed the jammed paper but now when I print, the black ink does not appear on paper. The color ink is all that I get on the paper.

This could be an issue with the ink cartridge or the printer hardware itself. Let us try to resolve the issue.

 

First, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

I would recommend you follow the steps from the document  Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues to resolve the issue. If the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
