Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I changed the black ink cartridge and now the printer is only printing blank pages.  The color ink cartridges are low, but I just spent $50 dollars on new black ink and don't want to spend another $45 on color ink that may or may not fix the problem, when I can buy a brand new printer for less.  I have gone through maintenance.  Why is it only printing blank pages?
