My printer quit on me ! I've turned it off and on - no response. I've plugged it into a different outlet - no response. I've double checked the connecting cord at the printer - no response. The printer simply failed to respond one day when I went to print. I've used it for 3-4 years now without a problem. I would like to at least diagnose the problem before replacing it.

@Jim187 Welcome to HP Community!
The printer does not turn on or respond when you press the Power button. All the lights are off, and there is no noise or movement from the printer.
Depending on the printer model, the power supply might include a power module inside the printer (internal), a power module that is separate from the printer (external), or a rechargeable battery if you have a mobile printer. For steps to resolve the issue, choose your printer power supply type.
