HP Envy 7640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Our printer will be sitting dormant and then automatically goes to the copy menu.  It then scrolls through the numbers increasing the amount of copies.  It is possessed or something or HP is trying to increase the amount of pages for the ink program.

Help, it is annoying.

Thanks

Hi @Hawksfamily

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Hp cannot make changes to the printer. The Instant Ink servers can only monitor the ink levels and page count.

Resetting the copy settings may help.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Printer maintenance > Restore > Restore settings > Copy

If the issue persists, Perform a Restore factory defaults > Restore

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
