My printer was running out of ink but never said empty,  it was very low so I kept trying to print until it became empty but it became unusable so I changed the cartridges printer is now printing great but the ink levels are at the same level as they were before (empty)

I have tried the unplugging and holding power for 15 seconds but still showing low ink.

Any help greatly appreciated

Hi @Bluey0121

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the ink level issue.

To better assist you - Are you using genuine HP inks?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps -

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue still persists, try a factory restore on the printer -

1.) On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to see ( Setup ) and touch ( Setup ).

2.) Touch Tools , touch Restore Factory Defaults, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Let me know how that goes 🙂

Have a great day!
