Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I replaced the printer cartridge in my HP Deskjet F4100 series printer, and it printed a test page, and said to scan it. The printer has an E in Start Copy window, and the Black/Photo light is flashing. I reinserted the cartridge but the same thing happens, and it will not allow me to scan the test page. I tried reinstalling the software and driver update HP showed on the website, but that didn't help.

Try cleaning the ink cartridges. Refer to solution# 3 from this document.
