Printer want print

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have purchase the correct paper with color Lok and I still get the black ink smear. I'm not wasting any more ink.

@Daddysmell2, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages on regular paper and check if the issue persists?

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setupicon.

  2. Swipe up on the display, touch Printer Maintenance, and then touch Clean Smear.

  3. Wait until the page is out of the printer before you remove it.

  4. Try printing.

It did not work and I have the most current update for my printer.

I have printed  from all file PDF , Word  and web page . I even sent myself a fax and nothing happened.

When you printed PDF and other documents, were they smeared too? 

If yes, this could be a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
