Envy 4520

Printer will suddenly not print at all in black. Color is printing fine.  I have unplugged, cleaned cartridge, aligned printer, to no avail.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

@Eric103 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the envy 4520 printers will not print black ink.

Please let me know if you are using HP genuine ink cartridges.

Please remove the black ink cartridge and clean the nozzles and check.

Follow the instructions on the control panel to start the cartridge alignment. The printer aligns the cartridges and prints an alignment page.

If the printer did not print an alignment page, follow these steps:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow () to scroll to Tools, and then press OK.

  2. Press the Down Arrow () to scroll to Align Printer, and then press OK.

If you have spare black ink cartridges, install the ink cartridges and check.
