HP Deskjet 2633
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Why will my HP Deskjet 2600 printer NOT print, it has worked in the past?  I was advised to uninstall the HP Deskjet 2600 software, then reinstall it again, but it will STILL not print.  It will print out the test page, and the printer staus report, but not letters.  Before the re-instalment, sometimes it would show that it required an updated driver.  It now shows the printer is ready for printing, but still will not print letters.   I have had many problems with printing since I bought it, so I got in touch with PC World’s “KnowHow” support team, which they eventually fixed, all it needed was drivers.  But now the same problem is back.  I would have reached out to the “KnowHow” team who fixed it remotely again, but that cost a lot on my phone bill as it took a long time for them to find the problem.  Any advise would be welcome as I’m a complete novice at technology.

Hi @vindiboy62

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win PC

Click here to download and know more about the app.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
