Hello everyone,,

After replacing Printhead “Must” I use “Either” Brand new “Setup” Ink Cartridges or Brand New HP Branded(r) Cartridges to get the printhead to finish it prep and start to print regularly, as putting the used cartridges back in (as they weren’t completely used up) has given an error saying that used carts will (May) not allow the print head to finish its setup. So... ?? I’m reading the error correctly ... I need to purchase all new ink now or a new setup set????

Welcome to HP support community.

Use the cartridges which came with the replacement printhead,

If you did not get any setup cartridges with the printhead, use the old cartridges and finish the setup.

Here are the steps:- Click here

I hope that helps.
