HP Recommended
HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

When i try to print from my Dell laptop it goes to a Save Print Output As dialog box that wants me to save to a .prn file. I can print from my IPad.

@DanVoss, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Make sure your Officejet printer is selected as the default printer.

Click on the Start/Windows button, type 'printers and scanners' > Select your printer from the list > Manage > Set as default

Try printing.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win PC

Click here to download and know more about the app.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
