Printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I, too, have an Officejet 7612 that is now showing "Printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed." I have tried the troubleshooting from the not-so-helpful support screens (turned printer off/on, updated firmware, etc.) and nothing has fixed the issue. Is there somewhere to purchase another printhead or am I stuck with buying a new printer to replace this bulky-only now useful as a scanner printer? It would help if an HP Support person replied to this message in the open, instead of sending a private message to the person who last posted it, so that everyone can see the answer.
If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this.
