Officejet 6600
Unknown

Out of nowhere, I got the message, "The printhead installed is not intended for use in this printer, or is damaged." When going through the animation for removing the printhead to replace it, the parts don't look the same.  There's no lever for popping out the printhead.  So... what am I supposed to do with this?  It's out of warranty but that's no reason why I shouldn't be able to replace a part.

@K_Tarr, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The Officejet 6600 Printer does not have a removable printhead and it cannot be replaced.

Refer to this document HP Officejet Printers - 'Ink System Failure' Error Displays for troubleshooting steps. Though the document name is different it is the same troubleshooting steps performed for printhead related issues.

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
