My printer says "missing or failed printhead", so I cleaned it and it still gave me the error message. I replaced the printhead. It still gives me the error. Is my only option to get a new printer now?

Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
