Hi,

I have been having this issue with my printer for a while, on three different computers. 

Whenever I try to print, it sounds like it's printing and takes time to put out the paper (suggesting to me that it is trying to print, if you see what I mean) but the pages come out blank.

I have uninstalled the printer from my computer and reinstalled it; my OS is up to date and I've uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers. When printing a test page, it prints fine! Colour is great etc. But whatever I try to print, won't. 

Ink is all fine. 

Please help!

Update- I just saved a word document as a jpeg and it printed this- what is going on!?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Are you using a HP Envy 120 printer?
  • Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
  • Try printing a PDF or a webpage to check if the issue persists.
  • If the issue is only limited to printing word documents, this could be an application-specific issue.

Also, print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon ().

  2. Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report. The printer prints the test page.

If the printer is able to make a copy and print the quality report fine, it means the hardware of the printer is working fine.

 

Check ink levels, and then replace low or empty cartridges

From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Ink Status icon ().

 

Check the print settings on the MAC
