HP Officejet 5255
macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hi! I bought my HP Officejet 5255 earlier this year and up until tonight it has done a great job of printing true-to-color images that I frequently use for scrapbooking/crafts. The ink is HP. I signed up for HP Instant Ink and I'm halfway through the color cartridge. The paper I'm using is HP Multipurpose. The images I have tried to print today all came out with a slight blue-ish tint. What do I do to fix this?

@ohshesmiles, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report from the printer control panel, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Load the printer with plain white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.

A Print Quality Diagnostic report prints.
