I have a problem where the ends of printed sentences are being distorted or 'stretched' upwards on the printed page. Only seems to affect black ink, not colour, which might suggest some sort of cartridge problem (?) Printer is only about a month old. I have already tried cleaning cartridges, aligning printer, etc. Anyone had similar or can suggest a solution?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
Since you have already tried cleaning the ink cartridge and aligning the printer and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a possible hardware issue with the black ink cartridge. Please contact our HP Support team for Service Options:
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.
