Hi all! I very recently bought an HP 2600deskjet and I  am struggling with a specific printing issue. Even I have set up all the settings etc as I had too, the printed pages are always given with broken lines. Unfortunately I cannot find any solution. Is any other who have encountered the same problem?

Below I attach a reference image.

Thanks in advance!

That is a black ink cartridge problem, if you replace it your print quality problem will be solved.

Valsimot thanks a lot for the response! Actually the printer is totally new and I have used almost not at all the inks. Although, sometimes but rarely, the printing is 100% Ok. So, did you encountered the same problem and this was resolved only by replacing the ink?

Thanks a lot!

It looks like black ink cartridge issue. It could be dried out ink if you haven't used your printer a while, no matter ink level shows full if it gets dry the print looks like the one you have.

Thanks a lot once more!

Just to mention that whichever I print in landscape form, it comes out correctly 100%, without any problem at all. Is that maybe shows that something else happen?

Thanks!

If the black ink cartridge is the cause of bad print quality the problem would persist both in portrait and landscape orientation.

It's strange that you have good quality when printing landscape, in that case, my theory of defective black ink cartridge could be wrong.

Those portrait samples you posted here I would 99% blame it on the black ink cartridge.
