Just bought this printer and it’s a nightmare so far. Having issues with black printing, it just prints outlines and when I do test prints direct from the printer the output is very faded and illegible. For example when

i do an alignment print there’s nothing there really.

 

see attached where it’s a test print, the 100 percent should be black but it’s a white box! The text is just an outline?

 

ive updated the firmware no luck, factory reset no luck. 

tried direct from my phone air printing and direct from my Mac using the HP drivers and still the same outcome.  Same happens when I saved the image and tried the smart print app!

Tried cleaning numerous times and this is the output...colour fine black non existent

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. This could be an issue with the ink cartridge or the printer ink system.

 

If you have already performed the steps from the document  Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
