Printing streaks (lack of ink) but cartage is full

HP Officejet Pro 8020

Haven't used the printer in a while, not it is printing with about 10 streaks of missing ink. I have done the "clean printhead" option 4 times with no change. This is a new printer, and I'm so frustrated. I've never had an HP printer that didn't have problems. I feel like printers shouldn't malfunction this much.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that prints fine. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue.
