Printing with HP Deskjet 4400

HP Deskjet 4400
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer says I have ink but it is getting more and more faded with each use. The area at the top and bottom of the page are the worst. I have cleaned and reinstalled my cartridges and ran troubleshooting guide. Does this printer's sensor on low ink sometimes go bad? Other ideas on troubleshooting? Thanks

Printing with HP Deskjet 4400

@Timmurra

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Print an extended self-test report:

Let me know if this report too prints in the same way.

  1. Make sure you have plain white, letter-size paper loaded in the input tray.

  2. Press and hold the Power button () and the Cancel button () for 10 seconds. The extended self-test report prints.

Follow the steps from here to align the Printer: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-deskjet-f4400-all-in-one-printer-series/3742084/document/c01...

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
