Problem connecting to printer

HP Recommended
envy photo 6234
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a new HP envy photo 6234.  It is connected to my WiFi network IP 192.168.1.2 and it has downloaded an update for itesel so all is working. My laptop is connected to the same network but when I try and use the app to print or scan I am told the device is offline or not available.  I then tried to set up the printer using WPS button on router.  Now I can print from the laptop.  The app still tells me the printer is offline and the scanner tells me this option is not available.

The printer display tells me I am connected to the network at 192.168.1.2 but when I go into settings and printer I am told the port is 192.168.223.1:3911....  Can someone help me with this as I am about to return it to the shop.
