Problem when printing from my laptop to an HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a thru USB attached to Desktop

Post to HP board 5/22/2020 Problem when printing from my laptop to an HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a thru a USB attached to my Windows 10 Desktop.
Not Working -- Somehow suddenly changed. ??? Printing FROM a Windows 10 Laptop TO -> On a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 – N911a ---- > attached by USB to a Window 10 Desktop This has been working for years. Now it stopped working. The message I was getting on the laptop was: "Printer not found on server" then this morning nothing.
I see the NAMES on my Control Panel -"Devices and Printers" icons Names are DIFFERENT ?? o Laptop "HP Officejet Pro 8600 on ROGERASUS-M51AC" o Desktop w/ USB attached "HP printer: HP Officejet Pro 8600 ( Copy 1)"
I saw a place on one or both? of the systems -- a way to RENAME the printer ? First, I forgot where I saw that, and then thought I should try to get HP Support or a Board to see what they thought. Did not want to make things worse.
