Hi,

 

the black ink cartridge does not print properly or doesn’t print at all.  I am using HP everyday paper and HP ink cartridge 

 

I have tried the diagnostic tools, and have cleaned printer heads etc but nothing has helped.

 

the cartridge level is showing full

 

there is an icon that is showing in the panel, which I can’t find anywhere what it means - it’s an envelope with 2 horizontal lines on the left side and an ink drop on the top right of the envelope

 

ant help greatly appreciated

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print in black. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Is the printer enrolled in Instant Ink?

Are you using regular HP ink cartridges or the Instant Ink cartridges?

If the printer is enrolled in Instant Ink, your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve print quality issues.

Thanks, tried all steps but nothing has worked 

I will buy a new black cartridge and hopefully that fixes the issue (even though cartridge came from HP as part of the instant ink program!)
