I recently replaced the black ink cartridge (HP 902) and printed a few papers just fine, but now it's telling me "1 or more cartridges are missing or damaged." I turned off printer, unplugged it, removed all cartridges, blew on the contacts of both the printer and the cartridges, turned on, replaced cartridges, but nothing is working.
I have an HP Office Jet Pro 6978.

I don't think I have an instant ink #. I always order my cartridges from Amazon.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
