I installed Catalina 10.15.3 on my MacBook Pro and my HP Officejet Pro 7740 printer  still doesn't work. 

This thread was initiated in October 2019, it's February 24, 2020 and HP still doesn't have drivers and a viable solution to support Mac Catalina. 

When can we expect to have updated drivers and to resolve this ?  My printer is rendered worthless without the proper drivers.

I understand you have issues with scanning after updating the Mac OS. Just updating the OS to the latest version does not help, update the HP Easy Scan Application as well. Refer to the document https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06455960

 

If the issue persists, try uninstalling the HP Printer Software completely and reinstall it. Refer to the document HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac) for help.

The driver is available via HP Easy Start or HP Smart

If you still have issues, I'd like to know the following-

 

What is the Mac OS version installed on the computer?

Are you trying to print or scan?

Is there any error message on the computer or the printer?
