Re: Regionalization Reset

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system?

Where did you get the reset code?  The code for a regionalization reset is specific to a given specific printer - not just the same printer model but the exact printer the code was generated for.  The code you need to get will be provided by an HP agent and they will advise how it should be supplied.

If you enter a code for a different printer you may "brick" the printer.

You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.
