Regionalisation reset needed for HP Deskjet 3634 and HP63 cartridges

Hi, I have a HP Deskjet 3634 printer which I bought in the UK but I currently live in Malaysia. I was lead to believe that 63 ink cartridges were compatible, they're not. How can I get them or the printer reset to a new region, please? Thanks

Regionalisation reset needed for HP Deskjet 3634 and HP63 cartridges

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

HP customizes some printers and ink cartridges to meet local customer needs. If you take your printer from one country/region to another country/region, you might not find ink cartridges with the same number on the label as your original ink cartridges. If you install an ink cartridge with a different number on the label, you might see one of the following error messages:

  • Incompatible Cartridges

  • Cartridge Not Intended for this Printer

  • Incorrect Cartridges

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.  

  

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
