Regionalization Reset

HP OfficeJet 8600 Pro Plus
macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hello all,

I have an HP OfficeJet 8600 Plus Printer. I had been living in Mexico for the last three years, and I bought printer ink there. After returning to the United States, we ran out of ink, but any new printer ink we insert into the printer gives the message, "incompatible ink cartridge." After some research, it looks like I need to perform a regionalization reset. Can anyone (preferably an HP employee) guide me through this process?
