Hello,

 

I keep receiving the same message when I install a new genuine HP 64 ink cartridge -- that I need to remove the ink cartridge and reinstall it. When I remove it and reinstall the old ink cartridge, there is no message, but there there is no ink. Is there something wrong with the new genuine HP ink cartridge or with my HP Envy printer? (I desperately need to be able to print given that I do not have my work printer also available, since I now work from home due to the pandemic.)

Hello,

In order to palliate this problem, please update the printer's firmware as follows:

    1. In the printer control panel screen, touch the Wireless icon () to retrieve the printer IP address.
    2. Launch a web page, and then type this address in the address bar and Enter. The printer Web interface opens.
    3. Click the Tools tab, then under Printer Updates, click Firmware Updates.
    4. Click the Check Now button to install the latest firmware update.

 

If the issue continues, please follow the instructions in the HP link Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge.
